It’s that time of year again where everyone feels out of shape and in need of some serious discipline, me included.
No one gets away from a New Years without the guilt of needed to get back in shape. It just is the way it is! Next year just roll with the idea that during the winter holidays you will bulk up. Similar to horses that get less activity because of the weather, they will bulk up. This isn’t a bad thing as it is within a natural cycle.
There’s always a big rush to the gym after holidays and of course it’t never comfortable getting back at it. My suggestion is to start with easy daily activities at home if you are not feeling comfortable at the gym. If you are able to ride, that’s a great aerobic activity and so I recommend increasing your muscular stability from the very beginning.

Set yourself a good pace when you are first starting a fitness plan. Plan a workout every other day with a stretch day in between. Do some simple exercises in you house every day helps make fitness a habit. The discipline is to do it consistently all year long. You got this!
