Horseback riding can create tightness in the shoulders and neck. This workout is designed to increase the range of motion in the shoulders. When done once a week for a month, riders have experienced less pain and easier functional movement within the shoulder.
Increase mobility by training the range of motion and work towards lengthening the muscles surrounding the shoulders. This is not a high degree of difficulty for athletes but has a giant benefit to working in the saddle. Incorporate other exercises in this workout to increase difficulty if desired.
