- What exactly is this fear? Define and describe it to yourself.
- I am afraid if I ask the horse to really move out, he’s going to get carried away and run away with me.
- When does it happen?
- When I ask him to do a canter extension.

- Does it happen in specific circumstances?
- Is this a new fear?
- How long has this been happening? New fears are easier to get over than fears you’ve had for a long time.
- Do you know why you are afraid?
- Was there a traumatic situation the fear is the result?
- Is it important for me to get over?
